Paul Rak, President and founder of both VeriForm and VeriGreen, was awarded the Certified Energy Manager (CEM) designation after completing an extensive course and exam in Toronto. This certification is widely recognized as an extremely difficult designation to earn as there are only a few thousand Certified Energy Managers in North America.

With this designation, Paul will:

  • Be federally recognized as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) by the National Research Council of Canada be authorized to sign off on federal energy audits. Currently, the ecoENERGY rules state: Either a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET), an Architect or a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) must perform the pre-project energy audit
  • Be able to carry out energy audits not only here in Canada but also on American soil Paul was quite excited with the news that he had passed the exam and commented, This is a big accomplishment for me personally. It also adds more legitimacy to the work we do at VeriGreen for our clients and opens doors to government and institutional business we might otherwise not have access to.
